Last night on my car radio I heard a woman comment on ACORN.  She said in 2000 ACORN used fraud to get George Bush elected and so if they use fraud to get Obama elected this year it is just the chickens coming home to roost.  I never heard of ACORN supporting Bush in 2000. 

Texas Election Law require candidates to maintain a 100ft distance from all polling places while conducting any campaign activity!

According to Texas Election Law, if she is campaigning inside polling places she is breaking the law.

I am honoring Texas Election Law and expect my opponent to do the same.

“Pushing back on accusations from John McCain that he’s a socialist, Barack Obama said, “I don’t know what’s next. By the end of the week, he’ll be accusing me of being a secret Communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten. I shared my peanut butter and jelly sandwich.”

Once again, we get the Obama oratorical fog. The problem isn’t what he does with his toys or sandwich, it’s what he sees as legitimate to do, under authority of government, with mine and yours.

“(McCain) has called me a socialist for wanting to roll back the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans so we can finally give tax relief to the middle class.”

Obama’s plans go much further than using the tax code to redistribute wealth.

He’s got about $700 billion in so-called refundable tax credits in mind, direct money transfers to individuals, to finance his social engineering ideas in education, child care, and environmental policy.”

Obama’s foreign policy advisors have included: Zbigniew Brzezinski, Jimmy Carter’s national security advisor and thirty-year critic of Israel; Samantha Powers, who has called for an end to aid to Israel and the introduction of American forces to protect the Palestinians; and Robert Malley, who has made a career of advancing, together with a former Arafat advisor, a revisionist account in which Israel was responsible for the breakdown of Camp David.

I always like to throw in a little humor to lighten things up.  My daughter and her husband are standing in line in New Jersey to vote right at this moment.  Starbucks is offering free coffee today.  So here is her message to me:

Starbucks is giving away free coffee today if you say you voted.  So Tim tells the people in line just now, that the coffee is free if you voted, but if you voted Democrat you have to pay tax on it!

Construction Spending

Under the perfect markets theory of stock market analysis

 as soon as there is a hint of something new it is built in

to the pricing.  So it is allegedly in the prices before it

makes the news.  Above chart shows economists expected

a lower drop in Construction Spending so this is good and

 may cause prices to go up today.

The Institute for Supply Management surveys more than

300 manufacturing firms on employment, production,

new orders, supplier deliveries, and inventories. 

Manufacturing still though a lot less.

My Comment on Obama’s Tax Cuts

I believe I posted over the weekend about Obama having his campaign staff develop a plan to bring down people’s expectations from the many promises he made during his campaign.  His is concerned that when things don’t happen as his supporters expect they wil no longer support him.  Example, first he was only going to raise taxes on the “rich” (people with incomes over $250,000 per year), then he had Biden publicly stated it was now $150,000, over the weekend he had Gov Bill Richardson publicly state $120,000.  Yesterday as I was driving I heard him $97,000 and he quickly stated that only 6% of the population fall into that category.  Let me remind you that when you file your tax return if you are married it is normally joint.  Most people who do the return both ways to see which is lower end up filing jointly.  What does that mean.

On a joint return if one spouse earns $57,000 per year and the other earns $40,000 you meet the requirement for rich and a higher tax rate.  If one spouse earns $60,000 and the other $30,000 you are rich.  Do you feel rich after you pay your bills eeach month?  I don’t.

Over the last few weeks I have been providing economic numbers from Bloomberg to show the economy hasn’t been crippled.  We took a big hit due to bad policy bills implemented and enforced by the democrat congress since 1976 including 2008.  I heard a guest on a talk show say that most American’s are unaware that the democrats control both houses of congress.  We have also heard in the news how ACORN literally entered bankers’ homes and intimidated them into issuing loans to individuals that are not credit worthy.  “Yet ACORN had only just begun. Two days later, 50 to 100 of the same protesters hit their main target - a House Banking subcommittee considering changes to the Community Reinvestment Act, a law that allows groups like ACORN to force banks into making high-risk loans to low-credit customers. ” Important Article Here  To get back on point, Dr Thomas Sowell a well respected Economist has comments about our economic health below.

A “Sound” Economy?

You may be as sick as a dog from having eaten the wrong thing. But that does not mean that you need to have your arm amputated or to receive massive doses of morphine. In other words, your body may be perfectly sound– and radical medical treatment can do more lasting damage than your temporary suffering will. “

On one hand we can choose:

Sheila Jackson Lee from Queens, New York, a far left radical liberal who abandoned her constituency this year, doesn’t properly support Houston’s oil and gas industry or Houston jobs and let all Americans down in the Mortgage Crisis and Economic Meltdown. In 14 years she had 1 bill passed costing American taxpayers millions of dollars to place a bust of somebody, somewhere in a “hall of fame”.

On the other hand we can choose:

John Faulk from Houston, Texas; a Moderate Republican, Business Owner (Accounting) & Stately Southern Gentleman with a solid background and education in the financial and healthcare industries, sporting acumen we need in Congress right now… who will support all of us in Houston going forward:

Maybe she just doesn’t understand the relationship between Border Control and Homeland Security. That sure doesn’t make me feel any better living in a high priority terrorist target region like The Greater Houston Area!

She has not only voted to bang the borders wide open, but voted for American taxpayers to pick up their medical expenses. You just don’t expect that kind of dichotic behavior out of a Congressional Representative setting on some of our most important Homeland Security Congressional Committees.

How do voters anywhere justify electing legislators like Sheila Jackson Lee to represent themselves or anyone else?

John Faulk supports border control and legal immigration… as most Americans are decendants of legal immigrants.

Gun and ammo sales have risen 10% recently with the prospect of poor economic times and a possible “stark” anti-gun Democrat President. Maybe people are feeling like they want to “hang on to their guns and religion” across the country for good reason.

A nurse entered and seemed surprised to find anyone there, and it wasn’t long before I found out why: Almost no one visits anymore. In his time, which was not very long ago, Mo Udall was one of the most-sought-after men in the Democratic Party. Yet as he dies in a veterans hospital a few miles from the Capitol, he is visited regularly only by a single old political friend, John McCain. “He’s not going to wake up this time,” McCain said.

On the way out of the parking lot, McCain recalled what it was like to be a nobody called upon by a somebody. As he did, his voice acquired the same warmth that colored Russell Feingold’s speech when he described the first call from John McCain. “When you called Feingold … ” I started to ask him. But before I could, he interrupted. “Yeah,” he says, “I thought of Mo.”

And why not? Obama in the White House, Obama on the dollar bill, Obama on Rushmore would symbolize the possibilities of America more than that narrow list of white-bread protestant presidents to date.

The problem is we’re not electing a symbol, a logo, a two-dimensional image. Long before he emerged on the national stage as Barack the Hope-Giver and Bringer of Change, there was a three-dimensional Barack Obama, a real man who lives in the real world. And that’s where the problem lies.

The senator and his doting Obots in the media have gone to great lengths to obscure what Barack Obama does when he’s not being a symbol: his voting record, his friends, his patrons, his life outside the soft-focus memoirs is deemed nonrelevant to the general hopey-changey vibe. But occasionally we get a glimpse. The offhand aside to Joe the Plumber about “spreading the wealth around” was revealing because it suggests a crude redistributive view of “social justice”. Yet the nimble Hope-a-Dope sidestepper brushed it aside, telling a crowd in Raleigh that next John McCain will be “accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten.”

Not only has this party belittled working people in this campaign, it has also been part of tearing down two female candidates.

The final straw came the other week when Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher (a.k.a Joe the Plumber) asked a question about higher taxes for small businesses. Instead of celebrating his aspirations, they were mocked. He wasn’t “a real plumber,” and “They’re fighting for Joe the Hedge-Fund manager,” and the patronizing, “I’ve got nothing but love for Joe the Plumber.”

Having worked in politics, I know that absolutely none of this is on the level. This back and forth is posturing, a charade, and a political game. These lines are what I refer to as “hooker lines”—a sure thing to get applause and the press to scribble as if they’re reporting meaningful news.

As the nation slouches toward disaster, the level of political discourse is unworthy of this moment in history. We have Republicans raising Ayers and Democrats fostering ageism with “erratic” and jokes about Depends. Sexism. Racism. Ageism and maybe some Socialism have all made their ugly cameos in election 2008. It’s not inspiring. Perhaps this is why I found the initial mocking of Joe so offensive and I realized an old line applied: “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party; the Democratic Party left me.”

Changes We Can Believe In – American Voters Hit List #3 – Harry Reid D-Nevada

Voters will be voting many members out of Congress that have failed us this year. I sincerely hope that these are among top priorities for American voters across the nation this election year.

Senate Majority Leader

The Majority leader customarily serves as the chief representative and “face” of his or her party in Senate, and sometimes even in all of Congress if the House of Representatives and thus the office of Speaker of the House is controlled by the opposition party.

As much energy as Las Vegas uses, you wouldn’t think Nevada voters would elect a brainwashed eco-nut to such an influential position as a top legislator in the Senate.

Maybe he doesn’t know that certain “fossil fuels” like natural gas burn very clean in combustion engines. Maybe he is like Nancy Pelosi and doesn’t know that natural gas is a fossil fuel. Maybe he hasn’t heard of clean coal technology. Maybe he doesn’t realize that it takes a while to turn a big ship and we are going to be dependent on various fossil fuels for at least another decade in a transitional period as we advance cleaner and renewable energy sources.

One of his worst blunders was to prematurely wave a white flag of defeat in IRAQ:

Americans just can’t tolerate this kind of irresponsible Legislative leadership grinding down realistic economically viable energy plan progress and waving the white flag of surrender, interfering in International affairs.

Why do Americans keep electing energy ignorant representatives in legislative leadership roles during the middle of an energy crisis? You would think that his limited views of what it will take in the energy conversion interim would also be indicative of his lack of financial knowledge and budgetary foresight.

I am sure I can speak for the majority of Texans and many across the Nation when I ask Nevada Voters to fire Harry Reid and elect someone who will represent the rest of the Nation responsibly.

Harry Reid has a demonstrated deficit of knowledge and prowess in dealing with American energy solutions, the economy and International Affairs. Why would anyone reelect him to office?

He oozes “grey caulk” every time he speaks… The best think he could do for America is never speak in public again!

Harry Reid took $77,000 from Freddie Mac & Fannie Mae.

The Speaker of the House is second in line to assume the Presidency,  just behind the Vice President. Maybe California voters just didn’t know that when they elected her.

It’s beyond belief for most educated voters that a House Majority Leader could so ardently discourage Bi-Partisan voting on urgent issues in The House of Representatives and doesn’t know anything about energy and energy sources. How do representatives like Nancy Pelosi even get elected?

2 Heartbeats Away - Nancy Pelosi and Natural Gas

Can you imagine a President of the United States that doesn’t even know natural gas is a fossil fuel and has to be drilled for?

We are asking California voters to please keep in mind that Nancy Pelosi as President is just plain scary. In fact, Americans don’t need or want anyone in Congress who doesn’t have sound energy knowledge going forward.

Americans all over the country are asking California voters to fire Nancy Pelosi so that the country has a better chance at a reasonable energy policy. We can’t face the possibility of her ever assuming the Presidential role.

California, please spare the rest of the Nation of another term with an energy ignorant Congressional Leader by voting Nancy Pelosi out of office this year.

Does a National Representative in Congress come any more pathetic than that?

American Voters know which politicians failed us in the Mortgage Meltdown!

Terminate ’skinny’ Obama’s White House bid: Schwarzenegger 

“I left Europe four decades ago because socialism has killed opportunities there,” Schwarzenegger said. “In recent years Europe has realized it’s mistakes … and Senator Obama says he wants to pursue the same ’spread the wealth’ ideas that Europe had decades ago.”

The latest IBD/TIPP poll has been released today - and it has John McCain statistically tied with Barack Obama!  And Neal Cavuto has just reported that the PEW poll has McCain ahead by 1% among likely voters!

This comes on the heels of yesterday’s Zogby one-day tracking poll which had McCain ahead of Obama by 1%.

This race is extraordinarily close, with a large number of undecided voters that will likely break for McCain.
