He is now lying in his resting place at Restland Cemetry, Dallas Texas. After WW11 he came back to Texas, got married and worked honorably. Coming from a humble family, he raised his children well, putting into their hearts and mind love and service for country. I was born out of wedlock, but my mother told me how he used to visit her home, met her folks and treated them well.. Distance and time, and situation prevented him from acknowledging me as a son before I turned 18 or 21. He communicated with me and my family. His wife and children have been writing me letters. I wanted to visit him, wanting to me him in person, but US Embassy Manila denied my visit. I applied for American citizenship but after all the papers have been submitted I could not be granted citizenship being an illigitimate child by law. I am honored to be a son of a WW11 U.S. Army who left American to fight for his country. It was only when he died that I was granted entry to the U.S. I met my father last December 2006 at Restland Cemetry because he died in 2003. My wife and American sister are writing a book- "The Longest Journey to Texas". Could somebody or an organization help my wife have this publishec? If it would be published, we intend to have a Computer School.. in the Philippines where the sons and daughters, their families could benefit..these are the very forgotten WW11 Filipino Amerasians in the Philippines.
