If Obama Wins We Will Live In A Vastly different World

Obama’s vision is far from that of Founding Fathers

by Star Parker

“Pushing back on accusations from John McCain that he’s a socialist, Barack Obama said, “I don’t know what’s next. By the end of the week, he’ll be accusing me of being a secret Communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten. I shared my peanut butter and jelly sandwich.”

Once again, we get the Obama oratorical fog. The problem isn’t what he does with his toys or sandwich, it’s what he sees as legitimate to do, under authority of government, with mine and yours.

“(McCain) has called me a socialist for wanting to roll back the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans so we can finally give tax relief to the middle class.”

Obama’s plans go much further than using the tax code to redistribute wealth.

He’s got about $700 billion in so-called refundable tax credits in mind, direct money transfers to individuals, to finance his social engineering ideas in education, child care, and environmental policy.”

Who says Jews are Smart?

By Jonathan Rosenblum

Virtually his whole public career has been closely intertwined with the unrepentant former Weatherman William Ayers.

Another member of Ayers’ Hyde Park circle was former PLO official and the current Edward Said Professor at Columbia University, Rashid Khalidi, whom Obama credits with opening his eyes to the plight of Palestinians. He has been heavily funded by the virulently anti-Israel George Soros. (link)

Obama has numerous ties to the Nation of Islam, in particular through Tony Rezko, the convicted, Syrian-born racketeer, who partly paid for Obama’s home.

Obama’s foreign policy advisors have included: Zbigniew Brzezinski, Jimmy Carter’s national security advisor and thirty-year critic of Israel; Samantha Powers, who has called for an end to aid to Israel and the introduction of American forces to protect the Palestinians; and Robert Malley, who has made a career of advancing, together with a former Arafat advisor, a revisionist account in which Israel was responsible for the breakdown of Camp David.

I always like to throw in a little humor to lighten things up.  My daughter and her husband are standing in line in New Jersey to vote right at this moment.  Starbucks is offering free coffee today.  So here is her message to me:

Starbucks is giving away free coffee today if you say you voted.  So Tim tells the people in line just now, that the coffee is free if you voted, but if you voted Democrat you have to pay tax on it!

LOL!

If You’re Still Undecided, a little more on McCain and Obama

What an old anecdote about Mo Udall in the hospital reveals about McCain’s character.  (and Slate has not been kind to Republicans)

A nurse entered and seemed surprised to find anyone there, and it wasn’t long before I found out why: Almost no one visits anymore. In his time, which was not very long ago, Mo Udall was one of the most-sought-after men in the Democratic Party. Yet as he dies in a veterans hospital a few miles from the Capitol, he is visited regularly only by a single old political friend, John McCain. “He’s not going to wake up this time,” McCain said.

On the way out of the parking lot, McCain recalled what it was like to be a nobody called upon by a somebody. As he did, his voice acquired the same warmth that colored Russell Feingold’s speech when he described the first call from John McCain. “When you called Feingold … ” I started to ask him. But before I could, he interrupted. “Yeah,” he says, “I thought of Mo.”

Mark Steyn: Obama’s a better symbol than president

And why not? Obama in the White House, Obama on the dollar bill, Obama on Rushmore would symbolize the possibilities of America more than that narrow list of white-bread protestant presidents to date.

The problem is we’re not electing a symbol, a logo, a two-dimensional image. Long before he emerged on the national stage as Barack the Hope-Giver and Bringer of Change, there was a three-dimensional Barack Obama, a real man who lives in the real world. And that’s where the problem lies.

The senator and his doting Obots in the media have gone to great lengths to obscure what Barack Obama does when he’s not being a symbol: his voting record, his friends, his patrons, his life outside the soft-focus memoirs is deemed nonrelevant to the general hopey-changey vibe. But occasionally we get a glimpse. The offhand aside to Joe the Plumber about “spreading the wealth around” was revealing because it suggests a crude redistributive view of “social justice”. Yet the nimble Hope-a-Dope sidestepper brushed it aside, telling a crowd in Raleigh that next John McCain will be “accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten.”

***

Not only has this party belittled working people in this campaign, it has also been part of tearing down two female candidates.

The final straw came the other week when Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher (a.k.a Joe the Plumber) asked a question about higher taxes for small businesses. Instead of celebrating his aspirations, they were mocked. He wasn’t “a real plumber,” and “They’re fighting for Joe the Hedge-Fund manager,” and the patronizing, “I’ve got nothing but love for Joe the Plumber.”

Having worked in politics, I know that absolutely none of this is on the level. This back and forth is posturing, a charade, and a political game. These lines are what I refer to as “hooker lines”—a sure thing to get applause and the press to scribble as if they’re reporting meaningful news.

As the nation slouches toward disaster, the level of political discourse is unworthy of this moment in history. We have Republicans raising Ayers and Democrats fostering ageism with “erratic” and jokes about Depends. Sexism. Racism. Ageism and maybe some Socialism have all made their ugly cameos in election 2008. It’s not inspiring. Perhaps this is why I found the initial mocking of Joe so offensive and I realized an old line applied: “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party; the Democratic Party left me.”

Changes We Can Believe In – American Voters Hit List #1 – Barney Frank D-Massachusetts

Changes We Can Believe In – American Voters Hit List #1 – Barney Frank D-Massachusetts

Voters will be voting many members out of Congress that have failed us this year. I sincerely hope that these are among top priorities for American voters across the nation this election year

Barney Frank
Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee

Barney Frank has clearly let America down in a position which should have been instrumental in providing financial governance for our free market system. His inattention to primary fudiciary responsibilities in his position has caused All Americans a great deal of grief, yet he is not and will continue to not recognize his own failure:

O’Reilly Blasts Barney Frank On Fannie Mae Mess!!

From the Earl Henry Sholley for Congress Website:

Chairman Barney Frank blames the Republicans and the lack of regulation for the financial meltdown. He refuses to accept any culpability for the current crisis, and keeps making excuses for his role. He loudly denies any involvement in the mess, and even says that he tried to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Here is Barney Frank’s tax and spend mentality/solution:

“There are a lot of very Rich People to Tax down the road and recover some of this money.”:

Shame on Massachusetts voters if they don’t come out in droves and fire this pompous illiterate financial zombie who was supposed to be a primary gatekeeper for our financial systems!!!

Voters in Massachusetts should be ashamed to reelect Barney Frank to office.

Most of the rest of the Nation hopes that Massachusetts will support our best interests by firing Barney Frank and electing Sholley to Congress.

“I believe in less government, fewer taxes, term limits, and public service, not personal enrichment. I will only serve two terms. We have many serious problems that must be solved quickly such as high energy prices, illegal immigration, loss of jobs, the banking crisis, inflation, judicial activism, and protecting our citizens from those who would do us harm. Congress is not doing the Peoples’ will. This is not a time for humor, smart quips, or petty partisan politics. I believe in getting the job done. We need common sense and deliberate action. Where there is a will, there is a way. I want to get America moving again.”

Earl Henry Sholley

Barney Frank took $42,350 from Freddie Mac & Fannie Mae.

It Never Worked In The Past On Any Continent

A Perfect Storm

 by Thomas Sowell

Some elections are routine, some are important and some are historic. If Senator John McCain wins this election, it will probably go down in history as routine. But if Senator Barack Obama wins, it is more likely to be historic– and catastrophic.

Once the election is over, the glittering generalities of rhetoric and style will mean nothing. Everything will depend on performance in facing huge challenges, domestic and foreign.

Performance is where Barack Obama has nothing to show for his political career, either in Illinois or in Washington.

Sheila Jackson Lee and Ties to Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) link here

Our law enforcement agencies and the FBI have been torn by this failure to define an ideological enemy. At the same time that the FBI is testifying at the Holy Land Foundation trial as to how the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamic supremacist goals, other parts of the FBI have been told to invite CAIR to provide training for the FBI on their views of Islam. CAIR also has provided “training” and guidance to DHS, TSA, Customs, and other law enforcement agencies. CAIR also attends meetings with an influential advisory panel on homeland security. The Investigative Project of Terrorism reports that “several members of Congress maintain close ties with CAIR” (Jim McDermott, Keith Ellison, Sheila Jackson Lee, Bill Pascrell, Dennis Kucinich). Such congressional representatives have no concerns about CAIR’s founder and Executive Director Nihad Awad as a documented supporter of the Hamas Islamic supremacist terrorist group. The American mainstream media frequently contacts CAIR to provide comments on news stories without providing context as to who and what they are - providing further public legitimacy for them. America has similar challenges with other groups associated with Islamic supremacism such as the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). CAIR and ISNA are unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation terror finance trial. The President of ISNA not only spoke at a national political party’s presidential convention, she also is on the U.S.-Muslim Engagement Project team calling for engagement with the Muslim Brotherhood.

If It Redistributes Like a Duck…

“If It Redistributes Like a Duck…”:

Friday, October 31, 2008

By: David Harsanyi

Obama is first ever presidential candidate to call for redistribution.

Barack Obama is going to fix the economy by “spreading the wealth around”?

Now, I’m not attempting to demonize Obama, God forbid. It’s just that, as we all know, that’s what Obama told Joe the Plumber.

Obama laughs off the charge of socialist behavior — and to be fair, socialism isn’t the precise term to affix to his ideas. It’s more like Robin Hood economics. On a recent campaign stop, Obama joked that by the end of the week, McCain would be accusing him “of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten.”

A funny line. But of course, Obama’s lofty intellect must comprehend the fundamental difference between sharing your GI Joe with a friend and having a bully snatch your GI Joe for the collective prepubescent good. It’s the difference between coercion and free association and trade. In practical terms, it’s the difference between government cheese and a meal at Ruth’s Chris.

Now, I’m not suggesting Obama intends to transform this nation into 1950s-era Soviet tyranny or that he will possess the power to do so. I’m suggesting Obama is praising and mainstreaming an economic philosophy that has failed to produce a scintilla of fairness or prosperity anywhere on earth, ever.

If It Quacks Like a Duck, it’s a Duck… Read the rest here, originally published by RealClearPolitics.com:

If It Redistributes Like a Duck…

Comments On Today’s News

Another view on why the stock markets are so bad  Wall St Journal article you should see.

Obama and the Politics of Crowds

“On the face of it, there is nothing overwhelmingly stirring about Sen. Obama. There is a cerebral quality to him, and an air of detachment. He has eloquence, but within bounds. After nearly two years on the trail, the audience can pretty much anticipate and recite his lines. The political genius of the man is that he is a blank slate. The devotees can project onto him what they wish. The coalition that has propelled his quest — African-Americans and affluent white liberals — has no economic coherence. But for the moment, there is the illusion of a common undertaking — Canetti’s feeling of equality within the crowd…”

Obama and “The Left”

“Although Senator Barack Obama has been allied with a succession of far left individuals over the years, that is only half the story. There are, after all, some honest and decent people on the left. But these have not been the ones that Obama has been allied with– allied, not merely “associated” with.

A candidate who spends two decades promoting polarization and then runs as a healer and uniter, rather than a divider, forfeits all trust by that fact alone.”

He Was Leading IN “57″ States A Few Weeks Ago

AP Poll: Obama leads or tied in 8 crucial states. Yahoo! article here

Article here:  ACORN Owes Millions in Taxes

“An intrepid researcher has discovered more than 200 tax liens totaling more than $3.7 million have been filed by the government against the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now for unpaid taxes since the late eighties.”

Obama just said on TV that we may think he is a communist for sharing his toys in kindergarten.  Actually we may think he is a communist for taking the other childrens’ toys.  Don’t Kindergartens actually own the toys, its been so long since I or my kids went to Kindergarten I can’t remember.

One of the hypothetical questions being asked in an ad on TV is who would you want to wake up and find out is President on November 5th.

If Charlie Rangel gets his way and a military draft call-up is implemented, which President would you want to serve under?

I just heard that the Fed interest rate cut today is the lowest its been since the Eisenhower Administration in the 1950s.  I was about 10 years old then.  My parents and my sisters and I lived better than ever before and ever since.  My mother was a high school graduate but my father wasn’t.  He did however go to night school to get an equivalent education.  My point though is they were not college graduates but inflation was low, interest rates were low and we lived more comfortably than we could have imagined.  Because of low interest rates we were able to have a car and a television.  No one else on our street had either in the early 1950s.  When a neighbor needed a ride to a hospital or doctor my parents took them.  We lived in a suburb of Philadelphia.  The key to the wonderful economics then was very low inflation.  Also as the evil villain Donald Rumsfeld once said in a speech, the USA was the only country that could export goods.  Our factories still functioned.  Most of Europe and Asia had been destroyed by Europeans and Asians.  We joined the war in the last few years and helped out.  We also helped rebuild them both after the war.

The market reaction to the 1% interest rate has been mixed because no one knows what the effects will be.  In the previous paragraph I was trying to show that it could be good. My oldest sister and her husband bought a house with a 2% mortgage in the late 1950s.  She still lives in it today.  She paid $12,000 in 1950’s dollars.

I heard late yesterday that the stock market dropped just before closing again because someone issued a false report about a large company.

Obama To Spread the Wealth Around to Needy Rivals (Scrappleface does satire)

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 32 Comments

(2008-10-25) — Coming off a month in which his campaign raised a record-breaking $150 million, Sen. Barack Obama announced today that he would voluntarily redistribute his cash to his presidential rivals including Libertarian Bob Barr, Independent Ralph Nader, Green Party pick Cynthia McKinney and even Republican John McCain, who has struggled to make ends meet while running on public assistance.

Breaking News Item: I wonder if George Soro’s accountant is upset about a $150 million unidentified out of balance condition in the records. (just being sarcastic)

Dick Morris on O’Reilly last night: If the healthcare system is expanded to include 47 million Americans who currently don’t have health insurance who is going to treat them.  He also mentioned that the 47 million figure politicians use includes illegal aliens. (Whether or not we provide for them is a moral issue not germaine to this election at this time)  Also among the 47 million are young people in the 20 to 40 age range who don’t want health insurance because 12 monthly premiums greatly exceeds the fee for service they can pay for a flu shot or rare doctor visit.  I’m not going to go in depth on services currently available to the poor because we covered that in at least two previous posts.

However the limited medical service provider issue is relevant and something I hadn’t thought about.  When you provide taxpayer funded healthcare to 47 million more people, people who didn’t go to the doctor for routine illnesses and cuts and bruises now start going.  As I mentioned when I was a kid  my family never went to a doctor for anything.  When my dad’s employer began offering health insurance as an employee benefit we started going every time we had something  more than the common cold.

Other families did as well.  That is when doctors’ fees and hospital costs started rising.  Demand drove prices up.  An individual might not have wanted to pay, but if an insurance company was paying, why not use it.  As an adult I watched co-workers take their kids to a doctor for things I never would have.  So if the supply of medical service providers remains the same we have to go to rationing.  If the government sets an artificial or bureaucratic price on fees then it becomes unprofitable for doctors.

It costs a doctor a couple hundred thousand to go to medical school.  He also has to pay for malpractice insurance and all of the diagnostic equipment in his office as well as staff.  I went to a doctor this week for a foot problem.  He had at least 6 staff in his office,  medical and clerical.  He has to bill for insurance coverage payments, schedule appointments, provide for accounting and bank deposits for his office.  He had a medical professional prepare my foot for minor surgery which I hadn’t anticipated when I went  into his office.

If the government tells him he cannot charge a fee adequate to cover all of his professional expenses and include enough for his personal residence, auto and family expenses why go to medical school and incur the costs.

We then go to a rationing basis as in Europe and Canada.  Now, Canadians come here.  Europeans go to Africa on vacation for medical treatment.  Where will we go!

One last comment.  I didn’t watch the 30 minute Obama infomercial last night but I saw clips in the news.  Obama said he will put a 90 day moratorium on mortgage payments.  Will that increase the ability of the homeowner to resume his  payments monthly when the moratorium expires.  What affect will it have on the mortgage companies not receiving cash during that period and not collecting the interest which is the life blood of their business.  It is the interest that enables them to pay their bills.

Why Are Democrat States Having More Economic Problems Than Republican States?

Here we are (The American Taxpayer) being run over again by an antiquated 2 party political system in an election year. Many of us are going to cast our votes in opposition instead of for the candidate we’d really like to see in office. Blame goes out in all directions… we just don’t have a mature electoral system allowing multiple choices like Japan and other Countries!

Who would have ever thought we’d see the Governor of New York (Eliot Spitzer) predicting a $47 Billion Dollar Budget Deficit for New York over the next 4 years or “California’s Terminator” (Arnold Schwarzenegger) setting on the side of the road with a tin cup?

Over the last year Dallas home prices have dropped just a little over 2%  where San Francisco and LA home prices have dropped over 10x as much.

Americans need to take note that Republican States like Texas aren’t having near the problem Democrat States are in this down economy right now and ask themselves if they really want to extend these failed “spread the wealth” political philosophies to the entire country.

Anyone with open eyes can see that the Socialistic push by the Democrat Party not only will not work for America, but that it isn’t already.

Texas has no problems, but we are Republican.

Texan taxpayers don’t need or want to pay for Democrat mistakes in other states and we definitely don’t want to see the country so desperate for change that we are drug down into your mire this election year!

California - you need to repeal Proposition 13 and start excising realistic property taxes!

New York – you should have been in on the forefront of governance, safeguarding the nation against abject free market plundering.

We are truly sorry for your 165,000 projected job losses on Wall Street, but they “screwed” the rest of us, and now you not only want the “Nation’s Taxpayer’s Mercy”, but you want us to play the same pathetic Democrat game you are playing this election year?

My best advise: Look at and remodel your State’s Economy after what we’ve done in Texas… as Republicans!

Best Political Video of the Year?

This video has more to say than all political candidates have said in the sum total of their campaign appearances & debates.  Its a must watch this campaign year, one of the best I’ve seen. It’s refreshing to see the truth pick it’s head up over the millions of dollars of political rhetoritic we are being inundated with this election year, especially when the Democrats are hammering Fox Network for being “Right” while CNN is even further “Left”.

Thank you machosauceproduction  for taking the time to present sanity in these uncertain times. This is one of the best and most honest political videos I have seen this year:

Checking Site stats, I found a link to this video… I believe author Exyankee probably posted a link to it in one of his blogs.

Thanks for having the insight to bring this video to the forefront here!

He should be out campaigning with Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin!

The Dollar Dealer

Dr Walter Williams Talking About People Who Refuse To Let Facts Get In The Way

Speaking of CEOs, there’s the “unconscionable,” “obscene” salaries they receive, in some cases over $10 million a year. Wackonomics has an easy answer for these high salaries: it’s greed. However, CEOs don’t have the corner on greed. There are other greedy people we don’t scorn but hold in high esteem. According to Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list, Oprah Winfrey receives $275 million, Steven Spielberg gets $130 million, Tiger Woods $115 million, Jay Leno $32 million and Dr. Phil $40 million. I need to talk to these people and learn their strategy. I’ve been making every effort to get that kind of money. I go to bed greedy, dream greedy dreams, awaken greedy and proceed through the day greedy. Despite my heroic efforts, it’s all been for naught; I earn a pittance by comparison.

“the most anti-gun presidential candidate in American history”

“The NRA is right to go after this gun grabber. And while political pundits continue to highlight Obama’s dangerous associations with vile humans like Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers, the NRA will be one of the few outlets reminding you that Obama has some equally dangerous anti-gun associations as well. They’ll trumpet the fact that “the Brady Campaign (formerly Handgun Control, Incorporated), [has] endorsed Obama for president.” Which means he can now boast of being endorsed by the same gun control organization that also endorsed “Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.), Jack Reed (D-R.I.), Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.), John Conyers (D-N.Y.), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), and, of course, John Kerry (D-Mass.), to name [but] a few.”

Those of us who love freedom need to vote McCain/Palin on November 4, and we need go to the NRA website and add our voices to that organization’s cause by joining today. ”

Well, I guess the drug dealers and muggers won’t be voting for Obama either!

“The power to tax is the power to destroy.”

Chief Justice John Marshall said it all in one sentence: “The power to tax is the power to destroy.”
It is not the money that is taxed away that is destroyed. What is destroyed is the wealth that does not get produced in the first place, because high taxes make its production not worthwhile.
Those who are receptive to Senator Barack Obama’s plan to increase taxes on “the rich” seem not to understand that the issue is the nation’s loss of wealth.

“The government pretends to pay us, and we pretend to work.”

Citizens For A Freer America

The socialism paradigm penalizes success and rewards mediocrity and failure. It brings to mind an old Russian saying. “The government pretends to pay us, and we pretend to work.” An apropos epithet for USSR’S Gross Domestic Product. Well folks, there isn’t a one of us that haven’t heard someone say “I don’t want to work overtime on Saturday because all the extra money will go to taxes.” We’re penalizing productivity for the alleged benefit of all. All being those that can’t or won’t provide adequate income, retirement or medical care for themselves, and those who don’t need it, but having had it extorted from them, insist on receiving their rebate as a social entitlement program.

Making The Rounds On The Internet (Satire I think)

Note To Employees

As of November 5, 2008, when President Obama officially becomes president-elect, our company will instill a few new policies which are in keeping with his new, inspiring issues of change and fairness:

1. All salespeople will be pooling their sales and bonuses into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are under-achieving a ‘fair shake’.

2. All low level workers will be pooling their wages, including overtime, into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst you. This will help those who are ‘too busy for overtime’ to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours.

3. All top management will now be referred to as ‘the government.’ We will not participate in this ‘pooling’ experience because the law doesn’t apply to us.

4. The ‘government’ will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging its workers to continue to work hard ‘for the good of all’.

5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it’s ‘good to spread the wealth around’. Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more ‘patriotic’.

6. The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don’t feel bad, though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he’ll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can’t pay your mortgage. If you appeal directly to our Democrat Congress, you might even get a free flat screen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn’t all Americans be entitled to nice looking hair?)!!!

If for any reason you are not happy with the new policies, you may want to rethink your vote on November 4th.

My question is where do they get money when the last dollar has been “redistributed” and spent?  When government taxes and spends, it spends through contractors to build anything and everything and also pocket huge sums (which are shared with the politicians).   Government employees don’t mine anything, grow anything, manufacture anything, repair anything, sing, dance or otherwise entertain us.  The government doesn’t create wealth it only takes it from us.
